The Giants announced on Monday that fifth-round rookie LB Ryan Connelly is out for the season after tearing his ACL in Sunday’s game against the Redskins.
New York will likely need to add another inside linebacker given the injuries to the position.

Connelly, 23, was drafted by the Giants in the fifth round out of Wisconsin in the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year rookie deal worth $2.9 million and will make base salaries of $495,000 and $585,000 the next two seasons.
In 2019, Connelly appeared in four games for the Giants and recorded 20 total tackles, one sack, two interceptions and two pass defenses. He was Pro Football Focus’ 46th-ranked linebacker out of 77 qualifying players through Week 4.
