Jordan Raanan of ESPN reports that the Giants have signed G Jon Halapio to their practice squad on Thursday.
The Giants’ practice squad now consists of:
- LB Deontae Skinner
- WR Geremy Davis
- WR Darius Powe
- OL Adam Gettis
- DE Stansly Maponga
- DE Ishaq Williams
- CB Donte Deayon
- OT Laurence Gibson
- DB Doran Grant
- G Jon Halapio
Halapio, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2014. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the Pats’ 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and was later placed on waivers.
The Broncos would later sign him to a future/reserve deal, but waived him just a few weeks after last year’s draft. The Cardinals signed him to a contract last summer, but they too cut him loose just a few months later.
Halapio signed a contract with the Patriots back in July but was unfortunately among their final roster cuts.
Halapio has yet to appear in an NFL game.
