Giants Signing DB Logan Ryan To One-Year, $7.5M Deal

According to Ian Rapoport, the Giants are signing DB Logan Ryan to a one-year, $7.5 million deal.

The two sides had reported mutual interest earlier in the day and it didn’t take much longer for a deal to come together.

Ryan fills a gaping hole in New York’s secondary while making a pretty decent number given this time of year. He announced his intention to convert to safety earlier this year but can also play corner.

Ryan, 29, is a former third-round pick out of Rutgers by the Patriots back in 2013. He has played out his four-year, $2,773,252 contract with the Patriots before agreeing to a three-year, $30 million contract with the Titans in 2017.

Ryan made base salaries of $10 million and $9.5 million the past two seasons.

In 2019, Ryan appeared in all 16 games for the Titans and recorded 113 tackles, 4.5 sacks, four interceptions, four forced fumbles and 18 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 62 cornerback out of 113 qualifying players.
