Giants Sign Three Players, Place DE Nate Harvey On IR

The New York Giants announced Sunday that they’ve signed three tryout players to contracts including S Tenny Adewusi, P Ryan Anderson, and DE Alex Jenkins and placed DE Nate Harvey on injured reserve.

Giants HC Pat Shurmur announced Saturday that Harvey suffered a non-contact knee injury that could require surgery, so this isn’t a big surprise.

Adewusi wound up going undrafted out of Delaware following this year’s draft. Undrafted free agents are expected to sign three-year, $1.755 million contracts.

During his senior year at Delaware, Adewusi recorded 38 tackles, one forced fumble, and seven pass defenses over the course of 12 games.

Jenkins, 26, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Incarnate Word back in 2017. He had a brief stint on the Saints’ practice squad before returning to New Orleans last year on a futures contract.

The Saints would later place him on the international player list, but he was once again added to their practice squad.

Jenkins has yet to appear in an NFL game.
