Giants Tried Out 16 Players Including QB Connor Cook

The New York Giants brought in 16 players for workouts on Monday including QB Connor Cook.

The full list of tryouts for the Giants includes:

  6. QB Connor Cook
  7. WR Marcus Easley
  8. WR Brittan Golden
  9. WR Francis Owusu
  10. DT Woodrow Hamilton
  11. DT Chris Okoye
  12. RB Akeem Hunt
  13. OT Roubbens Joseph
  14. OT Dan Skipper
  15. LS Taybor Pepper
  16. S Terrell Williams

Cook, 24, was taken by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was entering the third year of his four-year, $2.959 million contract and set to earn a base salary of $630,000 this season when the Raiders waived him coming out of the preseason.

Oakland waived Cook at the start of the 2018 season and he later signed on to the Panthers’ practice squad. However, Carolina released Cook earlier in the week.

In 2016, Cook appeared in one game and thrown for 150 yards while completing 14 of 21 passing attempts to go along with one touchdown and one interception.

Clarke, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2,820,380 contract and set to make a base salary of $700,000 when the Bengals elected to cut him loose last year as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players.

The Buccaneers later signed Clake to a contract at the start of the season and brought him back on a new contract this past March. Clake was released last month before being re-signed a soon after.

Tampa Bay cut Clarke a few weeks ago.

In 2018, Clarke appeared in three games for the Buccaneers but hasn’t recorded a statistic.
