The New York Giants officially waived DB Montre Hartage from injured reserve with a settlement on Thursday.
Hartage, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Northwestern back in April of last year. He later signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Dolphins, but was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason.
Miami re-signed Hartage to their practice squad after he cleared waivers and eventually promoted him to their active roster. The Dolphins waived him back in April and he was later claimed by the Giants.
New York waived him with an injury designation coming out of camp and he reverted to their injured reserve list.
In 2019, Hartage appeared in four games for the Dolphins and recorded eight tackles and no interceptions.
During his college career at Northwestern, Hartage recorded 172 tackles, nine interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries and 26 pass defenses over the course of four seasons and 40 games.
