The New York Giants announced Thursday that they’ve signed undrafted free agent TE Rysen John and DE Dana Levine to contracts and placed DE Kevin Wilkins on waivers.
Wilkins, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Rutgers back in May of last year. He agreed to a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Eagles, but was waived coming out of the preseason.
After a brief stint on the Eagles’ practice squad, the Giants added him to the taxi squad in December. New York brought him back on a futures contract.
During his four-year college career at Rutgers, Wilkins recorded 122 tackles, two sacks, an interception, and five passes defended over the course of 39 games.
