Giants Waiving WR/KR Quadree Henderson

Jordan Raanan reports that the Giants are waiving WR/KR Quadree Henderson on Wednesday.

Henderson, 22, wound up signing on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh back in April. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract but was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason.

The Giants later signed Henderson to their practice squad before promoting him to their active roster a few weeks ago.

In 2018, Henderson appeared in five games for the Giants and totaled 112 kick return yards and 68 punt return yards.

  1. How about a BLOCKBUSTER trade between the GMEN and Jets?

The GMEN trade the following player(s) and pick(s) to the Jets.
    – QB Elisha Manning
    – RB Saquon Barkley
    – LB Alec Ogletree
    – 2019 2nd round pick
    – 2020 2nd round pick

The Jets trade the following player(s) and pick(s) to the GMEN.
    – QB Sam Darnold
    – RB LeVeon Bell
    – LB Darron Lee
    – WR Robbie Anderson
    – 2019 3rd round pick
    – 2020 1st round pick

The cap hits of Manning and Bell would offset each other in 2019. The GMEN get one of the players (Nelson or Chubb are the others) they should have taken with the 2nd pick of the 2018 Draft. Also! Barkley gets to stay with his QB pal Elisha, all while continuing their play at MetLife Stadium albeit in green. The Jets could then use their 2019 1st rounder on a QB that new HC Adam Gase actually likes be it Murray, Haskns or Lock. Manning would be the stop gap for a year or two. And the ultra-Manning lovers wouldn’t have to go far to watch Manning finish his career. The GMEN would have a second straight NFL Draft with 2 first rounders to continue the rebuild. Plus! Anderson would be a definite deep threat to compliment Bell, Tate, Shepard and Engram. Ogletree reunites with DC Williams and Lee gets a fresh start in a familiar defense with the GMEN.
