Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter mentioned that WR Julio Jones‘ performance against the Panthers last weekend was impacted by a hand injury, which still isn’t fully healed.
“Julio’s hand is not 100 percent. Credit him for playing and running his routes hard,” said Koetter, via theย Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “But there’s no doubt, [as] we’ve seen him in some earlier games this year, when he’s 100 percent he will be even more effective.”
Matt Ryan looked his way eight times during the game, but he was only able to haul in one catch, while Roddy White put up a monster game against the Panthers defense. Jones is clearly a game-changing talent when healthy, but he has been dealing with injuries since he entered the NFL, so there are some concerns related to his durability.
