Injuries Hit The Giants Receivers

Jane McManus of ESPNNewYork.com reports that New York Giants WR Mario Manningham suffered a concussion during the teams Monday night game against the Rams and failed a baseline concussion test.

Giants head coach Tom Coughlin is still holding out hope that he’ll be able to play in week 4 against the Eagles.

Hopefully he’s not too bad,” Coughlin said.

A players recovery from a concussion is very difficult to predict so it will be a topic to monitor throughout the week.

McManus also reports that Dominick Hixon suffered a calf injury and was later sidelined with a knee injury.

The fact that he was removed the game likely had more to do with the Giants being cautious as their team has been decimated with injuries up to this point.
