Is This Brandon Jacobs Last Game With The Giants?

Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News mentioned Giants RB seems to have changed his outlook on returning to the Giants next season.

“I honestly don’t think that’s the case,” said Jacobs, after being asked if he thought the Super Bowl could be his final game with the team. “I think something’s going to get worked out.”

Jacobs has put together one of his worst seasons in the NFL and has a $500,000 roster bonus that will be due in March. On top of that, he’s set to make $4.4 million next season which is a pretty large amount of money for a limited running back.

There’s a chance that the Giants will try to renegotiate his contract to a more manageable number instead of releasing him but it’s recently a possibility that he could be released following the season. The good news for Jacobs is that there will be a number of teams looking to add a goal-line back possibly even the Eagles.
