Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Jaguars are interviewing former Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell for their offensive coordinator job on Tuesday.
Bevell has already met with the Falcons about their offensive coordinator vacancy. However, Atlanta has reportedly offered the position to Dirk Koetter.
Bevell, 49, began his NFL coaching career with the Packers as an assistant quarterbacks coach in 2000. He eventually worked his way up to QBs coach before being hired by the Vikings as their offensive coordinator in 2006.
After five years in Minnesota, Bevell signed on with the Seahawks for the 2011 season and spent the past seven years in Seattle before he was fired last year.
In 2017, the Seahawks’ offense was No. 15 in total yards, No. 11 in points scored, No. 23 in yards rushing and No. 14 in passing offense.

Bevell is not the answer for the Jags’ offense. If I were Coughlin, I would wait out the HC searches and if Jim Caldwell is still available sign him. Caldwell has been to the SB as a HC in ’09 and won a SB as a OC with the Ravens in ’12. Considering the Jags will most likely enter the ’19 season with a new QB and new RBs as well. Caldwell has the experience and knowledge.
