Jaguars Place RB Alfred Blue On IR

According to Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars have placed RB Alfred Blue on injured reserve with an ankle injury.

Because Jacksonville waited to do so until after final cutdowns, Blue is eligible to be activated from IR starting Week 9. 

Blue, 28, is a former sixth-round pick of the Texans back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2,337,932 contract with the Texans and re-signed with the team on a one-year deal for 2018.

Blue signed with the Jaguars this offseason on a one-year deal. 

In 2018, Blue appeared in 16 games for the Texans and rushed for 499yards on 150 carries (3.3 YPC) and two touchdowns to go along with 20 receptions for 154 yards receiving.
