Jaguars Place WR Marqise Lee On Injured Reserve

According to Mark Long, the Jaguars are placing WR Marqise Lee on injured reserve Tuesday.

Lee has battled injuries for a long time now dating back to a severe knee injury in 2018. Tom Pelissero reports Lee is going on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, which should end his 2019 season.

Jacksonville announced it also promoted CB Tae Hayes to the active roster and signed LB Keishawn Bierria to the practice squad.

Lee, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $5,174,016 contract before agreeing to a four-year, $38 million contract with $18 million guaranteed.

Unfortunately, Lee suffered a season-ending knee injury last year and spent the 2018 season on injured reserve. Jacksonville placed him on the PUP list to start training camp before activating him in August.

In 2019, Lee appeared in six games for the Jaguars and caught three passes for 18 yards.
