Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette unlikely to play Sunday against the Patriots due to a hamstring injury. However, no decision has officially been made whether Fournette will play today.
Fournette did not practice all week and the Jaguars think it would be a risk for him to suit up.
Jacksonville promoted Brandon Wilds to their active roster and are likely to start T.J. Yeldon in place of Fournette.
Fournette, 23, is a former first-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $27.15 million contract that’s fully guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $1.69 million for the 2018 season.
In 2018, Fournette has appeared in one game and rushed for 41 yards on 9 carries (4.6 YPC) to go along with three receptions for 14 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
We’ll have more regarding Fournette as the news is available.
