Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Jaguars are releasing RT Jermey Parnell on Friday.
The roster cuts keep coming for the Jaguars today. They’ve now released Parnell, S Tashaun Gipson, RB Carlos Hyde and DT Malik Jackson.
Parnell, 32, is in the fourth year of his five-year, $32 million contract that included $13 million guaranteed and was set to earn a base salary of $5 million over the final year of his deal.
According to OverTheCap.com, releasing will Parnell free up $6 million of available cap space while creating no dead money.
In 2018, Parnell appeared in 13 games for the Jaguars and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 49 offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players.
