Gotsis was testing free agency after the Broncos let him walk because of a knee injury. There had been some doubt about whether Gotsis would be ready for the start of the season but Jacksonville clearly felt comfortable enough to add him.
Gotsis, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Broncos back in 2016. He just finished the final year of his four-year, $3.9 million contract and made a base salary of $986,987 for the 2019 season.
He was testing unrestricted free agency for the first time in his career this offseason.
In 2019, Gotsis appeared in nine games for the Broncos and recorded 16 tackles, no sacks and two pass defenses. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 83 interior defender out of 113 qualifying players.
