Hood, 23, is a former seventh-round pick of the Raiders back in 2017. He was among Oakland’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and later signed to their practice squad after clearing waivers.
The Raiders would later promote Hood to their active roster while RB Marshawn Lynch served his one-game suspension for making contact with an official. However, Hood was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Panthers in 2018.
Carolina brought Hood back on a one-year deal only to cut him loose in July.
During his college career at UNC, Hood rushed for 2,580 yards on 430 carries (6 YPC) to go along with 40 receptions for 211 yards receiving and 29 total touchdowns over the course of 33 games.
