Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Jaguars are signing LB Akeem Dent to a contract on Monday.
Dent, 29, is a former third round pick of the Falcons back in 2011. Atlanta traded him to the Texans in return for QB T.J. Yates in June of 2014.
Dent was re-signed by the Texans to a two-year contract back in 2015. He played out this agreement and has been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the past five months.
In 2016, Dent appeared in all 16 games for the Texans and recorded 11 tackles and no sacks or interceptions.
