Jaguars Tried Out 5 Players Including WRs Kenny Bell & Mario Alford

The Jacksonville Jaguars brought in five players for tryouts on Monday including OT Jeff Adams, WR Kenny Bell, WR Mario Alford, G Chase Farris, and LB Micah Awe, according to Adam Caplan.

Bell, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2015. He wound up signing a four-year, $2,484,836 contract with the Bucs and was set to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

The Buccaneers elected to cut Bell loose coming out of the preseason with an injury designation. He later reverted to their injured reserve list before he was waived with an injury settlement soon after.

Bell has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Alford, 24, was taken in the seventh round of last year’s draft by the Bengals. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2,339,104 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

The Bengals waived Alford with an injury designation in the final week of the preseason before later waiving him from injured reserve with a settlement.

Last year, Alford appeared in one game for the Bengals caught one pass for 15 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
