The Jacksonville Jaguars officially waived WR Dredrick Snelson with an injury designation on Thursday.
This move creates an open roster spot for supplemental WR Marcus Simms, who has signed a contract with Jacksonville.
Should Snelson clear waivers on Friday, he would revert to the Jaguars’ injured reserve list.
Snelson wound up going undrafted out of UCF back in April. He later agreed to a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Jaguars.
During his three-year college career at UCF, Snelson caught 106 passes for 1,519 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns over the course of 32 games. He also rushed for 16 yards and a touchdown on four carries.
