The Jacksonville Jaguars announced the signing of FB Eric Kettani on Wednesday as well as that they have waived/injured TE Fendi Onobun.
Onobun, 27, is a former sixth-round draft pick of the St. Louis Rams. He lasted just a few months with the Rams before he was placed on waivers at the start of the 2010 season. Jacksonville signed him to a contract two weeks ago, so he didn’t last long.
Onobun has played for a number of teams since being draft including: the Seahawks, Redskins, Jaguars, Bills and Bears. He’s a former basketball player who spent the entire 2013 season on the Bears’ practice squad, but he has yet to appear in an NFL game since the 2011 season.
As for Kettani, he signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent back in 2009. He spent a few years with the team before catching on with the Redskins and later signing a future/reserve contract with the Chiefs.
He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
