News Of James Laurinaitis Having Visits With 7 Teams Came From Fraudulent Account

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, citing a “source who knows“, reports that the account that mentioned free agent LB James Laurinaitis having seven visits is not from Laurinaitis’ father’s account.

Here’s the the Tweet that was posted last night regarding Laurinaitis:

Laurinaitis has visited with the Saints and Falcons, but numerous reporters were unable to verify some of the other teams mentioned since this was posted online.

It’s worth mentioning that signing Laurinaitis wouldn’t factor into their 2017 compensation picks, so that’s a bonus to consider.

Laurinaitis, 29, was entering the fifth year of his six-year, $42.12 million contract that and would have made a base salary of $5.775 million for the 2016 season when he was released a few weeks ago.

In 2015, Laurinaitis appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and recorded 109 tackles, one sack, an interception, a forced fumble, a pass defense and a safety.

We have him featured in our Top 2016 Free Agents list.
