Jeff Fisher Hoping To Get Another Shot In NFL, Browns A Potential Option?

Jason La Canfora reports that former Titans and Rams head coach Jeff Fisher is preparing in hopes of getting another shot as a head coach in the NFL.

According to La Canfora, Fisher is contacting potential staff members as teams get set to start interviewing coaching candidates next month.

Fisher is reportedly intent on getting another shot at coaching in the NFL and doesn’t want his career to end on the sour note after he was fired by the Rams last year.

While Fisher is hoping to secure another opportunity, La Canfora says that finding interested parties could prove to be a challenge. One thing that could help Fisher gets some looks is that the coaching pool is expected to be somewhat limited next year.

Interestingly enough, La Canfora tosses out the Browns as a team who could be an option, considering that they have had a tough time competing for hot coaching candidates in the past. Beyond that, La Canfora mentions that the Browns are expected to prioritize coaching experience should they replace Hue Jackson.

During his 22-year coaching career, Fisher has won 173 games and lost 165 to go along with one tie (51.2 percent). His teams have made the playoffs six times including one trip to the Super Bowl back in 1999 while he was with the Titans.

We’ll have more regarding Fisher possibly returning to the NFL as the news is available.
