According to Ian Rapoport, the Jets have cut K Taylor Bertolet on Sunday.
Bertolet was made expendable after New York claimed K Kaare Vedvik off waivers from the Vikings.
Bertolet, 26, originally signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in 2016. He was waived by the Rams coming out of the preseason.
After sitting out the 2016 and 2017 seasons, Bertolet signed a one-year contract with the Broncos last year but was unfortunately waived after the draft. He had a brief stint with the Jets before being cut loose at the start of the regular season.
The Broncos signed Bertolet to a contract in April, but later released him in July.
At Texas A&M, Bertolet converted 37 of 56 field goal attempts (66.1 percent) to go along with 128 of 138 extra point attempts (92.8 percent) over the course of three seasons and 32 games.
