Lewis was on the non-football injury list while Van Roten was on injured reserve.
Lewis, 28, is a former fourth-round pick of the Ravens back in 2016. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $2.831 million contract and was set to make a base salary of $828,539 for the 2019 season when the Ravens traded him to the Jets for a seventh-round pick.
The Jets re-signed Lewis to a three-year, $18.6 million deal this past March.
In 2020, Lewis has appeared in nine games for the Jets, making nine starts for them at guard. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 30 guard out of 84 qualifying players.
Van Roten, 30, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Pennsylvania back in 2012. He was, unfortunately, released coming out of the preseason but later signed on to the Packers’ practice squad.
After the Packers moved on from Van Roten in 2014, he had a brief stint with the Seahawks before eventually signing on with the Jaguars in February of 2017. Unfortunately, Jacksonville cut Van Roten loose after the draft and he eventually signed a one-year contract with the Panthers.
As a restricted free agent, Van Roten instead signed a two-year extension with Carolina ahead of the 2018 season. He signed a three-year, $14.25 million deal with the Jets this past offseason.
In 2020, Van Roten has started 12 games for the Jets at guard. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 43 guard out of 84 qualifying players.
