It appeared that Adalius Thomas would inevitably sign with the New York Jets but Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Dolphins hosted Thomas yesterday. There hasn’t been indication of what team has the best chance to land Thomas but the Dolphins would like to some depth at the line-backer position while preventing the Jets from getting better.
The Jets have shown interest in Thomas since the preseason but were waiting for the season to start so that the contract wouldn’t be guaranteed. This decision could end up coming back to haunt them if he signs with a division rival and is productive.
