Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Jets are expected to hire former Bengals OL coach Frank Pollack, presumably for the same job.
Pollack had been linked to the Packers, but it appears as though an opportunity to join Adam Gase’s staff in New York proved to be his best option in the end.
Pollack, 51, is a former sixth-round pick of the 49ers back in 1990. He played eight years in the NFL before taking his first coaching job in 2005 as the OL/TEs coach at Northern Arizona.
The Texans would later hire Pollack as their assistant OL coach and he would go on to work for the Raiders and Cowboys before joining the Bengals last year.
