Jets Hosted Nine Free Agents Including DE Jared Crick & CB Sterling Moore

According to Howard Balzer, the New York Jets brought in nine free agents for tryouts/visits on Monday including DE Jared Crick.

The full list of tryouts includes:

  1. DE Jared Crick
  2. DE Anthony Lanier
  3. G Jamil Douglas
  4. FB Jalston Fowler
  5. CB Sterling Moore
  6. WR Brandon Reilly
  7. WR DeAngelo Yancey
  8. LB Harvey Langi (Visit)
  9. DL Rakeem Nunez-Roches (Visit)

Of this group, the Jets signed Landi to their practice squad on Monday.

Crick, 29, was taken in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL draft. He played out his four-year, $2,491,500 rookie contract with the Texans before signing a two-year, $4 million contract with the Broncos as an unrestricted free agent in 2016.

Crick worked his way back from a back injury that ended his 2017 season and has been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2016, Crick appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos and recorded 53 tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and six pass defenses.

Moore, 28, originally signed on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Methodist back in 2011. However, he lasted just a few months in Oakland before he was waived a few weeks into his rookie season.

Moore bounced around a bit with the Patriots, Cowboys, Buccaneers and before signing a one-year contract with the Saints right before the start of the 2016 regular season. Moore returned to the Saints on a one-year, $900,000 last year and was on and off of their roster throughout the season.

The Lions signed Moore to a contract during the preseason, but released him soon after.

In 2017, Moore appeared in six games for the Saints and recorded five tackles, a forced fumble and two pass defenses.
