ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Jets are hosting WR Denarius Moore on Thursday.
The Jets have shown some recent interest in free agent receivers, even after they traded for Brandon Marshall. However, it seems unlikely that they will be offering much in terms of salary at this point in free agency.
Moore, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2011. He’s played his four-year, $2,230,052 rookie contract that included just $190,052 guaranteed and is now among the best available receivers in free agency.
In 2014, Moore appeared in 10 games and caught 12 passes for 115 yards receiving and no touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 237 total snaps last year to go along with a poor rating as a receiver.
