The New York Jets announced Tuesday that they’ve placed K Sam Ficken and RB La’Mical Perine on injured reserve and signed TE Ross Travis and RB Josh Adams to their active roster.
It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list in just three weeks.
Perine, 22, was selected by the Jets with the No. 120 pick in the fourth round of this year’s draft. He signed a four-year, $4,040,344 rookie contract that included a $745,344 signing bonus.
In 2020, Perine has appeared in nine games for the Jets and rushed for 202 yards on 55 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with 10 receptions for 49 yards and no touchdowns.
During his four-year college career, Perine recorded 493 rushing attempts for 2,485 yards (5.0 YPC) and 22 touchdowns to go along with 72 receptions for 674 yards receiving (9.4 YPC) and eight touchdowns.
