The New York Jets announced Tuesday that they’ve placed TE Jace Amaro and DL Kevin Vickerson on season-ending injured reserve.
- The Jets also waived/injured CB Dashaun Phillips.
Amaro, 23, has been dealing with a shoulder injury for awhile now and he was not making progress in recent days, according to reports. His specific injury is aย labrum tear.
He’s entering the second year of his four-year, $4.29 million rookie contract that includedย $2.45 million guaranteed.
In 2014, Amaro appeared inย 14 games and caught 38 passes for 345 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
Vickerson, 32, signed a one-year contract worth $950,000 with the Jets back in March.
In 2014, Vickerson appeared in 15 games for the Chiefs in 2014 and recorded 12 tackles and a pass defense.ย Pro Football Focusย has him down for playing 175 snaps last year to go along with a decent rating as a run-defender.
