The New York Jets announced Friday that theyโve signed WR ArDarius Stewart to their practice squad and released WR Deontay Burnett from the unit.
The Jetsโ practice squad now consists of:
- S Brandon Bryant
- CB Jeremy Clark
- C Nico Falah
- RB DeโAngelo Henderson
- OT Diegot Joseph
- DL Bronson Kaufusi
- LB Anthony Wint
- QB Davis Webb
- OL Ben Braden
- WR ArDarius Stewart
Stewart, 24, is a former third-round pick of Jets back in 2017. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.25 million contract and set to make base salaries of $592,500 and $688,750 over the next two years of the agreement when the Jets waived him a few days ago.
The Jets actually had to a roster exemption for Stewart before they cut him loose after he completed his two-game suspension for violating the leagueโs PED policy.
In 2017, Stewart appeared in 15 games for the Jets and caught just six passes for 82 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also rushed for 27 yards and contributed 173 kick return yards on special teams.
