Ian Rapoport reportsย that the Jets have signedย LB Neville Hewitt to a one-year contract on Wednesday.
This comes just a day after Hewitt visited with the Jets.
Hewitt, 24, signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Marshall back in May of 2015. He was in the final year of aย ย three-year, $1.576 million contract and set to earn a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season when he was waived by Miami coming out of the preseason.
The Dolphins later added him to their practice squad before calling him up in November.
In 2017, Hewitt appeared in six games for the Dolphins and recorded one tackle and no sacks.
