According to Brian Costello, the Jets are signing LS Thomas Hennessy to a four-year contract extension through the 2023 season.
- Adam Schefter reports that Hennessy’s four-year extension is worth $4.4 million that includes $1.15 million guaranteed and a $625,000 signing bonus.
Hennessy, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Duke back in 2016. He was entering the final year of his contract and set to earn a base salary of $6450,000 this season.
Indianapolis traded him to New York in August of 2017 in exchange for S Ronald Martin.
In 2019, Hennessy has appeared in all three games for the Jets. He has yet to miss a game since being acquired by New York.
