The New York Jets announced Monday that they’ve waived OL Austin Golson and signed OL Alex Balducci to a contract.
Balducci, 24, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in 2016. He was waived at the start of the regular season and he was on and off of their practice squad before the 49ers cut him loose following last year’s draft and he was claimed off of waivers by the Jets.
Unfortunately, Balducci was once again waived coming out of the preseason, but he managed to catch on with the Redskins and returned to Washington on a futures contract this past January. Washington waived him last week.
In 2016, Balducci appeared in two games for the 49ers.
