Attaochu, 25, is a former second-round pick by the Chargers in the 2014 NFL Draft. He finished his four-year rookie contract and tested the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career this offseason.
The 49ers signed him to a one-year, $3 million contract in March, but he was among their final roster cuts on Saturday.
In 2017, Attaochu appeared in four games for the Chargers and recorded seven total tackles and no other statistics.
