The New York Jets announced that they’ve signed CFL S Anthony Cioffi to a contract.
Cioffi, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Rutgers back in 2017. He later signed on with the Raiders, but was among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason a few months later.
From there, Cioffi signed on with the Ottawa Redblacks of the CFL and spent the past two years in Canada.
During his two seasons with Ottawa, Cioffi recorded 97 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions, one defensive touchdown and three forced fumbles over the course of 33 games.
