The New York Jets announced Thursday that they’ve signed WR Jehu Chesson to a futures contract for the 2020 season.
Here’s the Jets’ updated list of futures signings:
- LB Ahmad Gooden
- WR Keon Hatcher
- DE Bronson Kaufusi
- OL Corbin Kaufusi
- OL Brad Lundblade
- OL James Murray
- LB Wyatt Ray
- QB Mike White
- P Ian Berryman
- K Brett Maher
- WR Jehu Chesson
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Chesson, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2017. He lasted over a year in Kansas City before he was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Redskins’ practice squad.
Chesson had been on and off of the Redskins’ roster ever since.
In 2017, Chesson appeared in 12 games for the Chiefs and caught two passes for 18 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also added 65 kick return yards.
