The New York Jets announced Thursday that they’ve signed WR Quincy Adeboyejo and waived WR J.J. Jones.
The Jets brought Adeboyejo in for a workout earlier in the day and it appears as though he was impressive enough to earn an offer from the team.
Adeboyejo, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi back in 2017. He was waived coming out of the preseason last year before being signed to the Ravens’ practice squad.
Adeboyejo was called up to the active roster late in the year, then re-signed in Baltimore in 2018 as an exclusive rights free agent. He was waived in July as he continues to work back from a leg injury.
During his college career at Ole Miss, Adeboyejo caught 106 passes for 1,454 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns over the course of four seasons and 38 games.
