The New York Jets officially waived DB Brandon Bryant from injured reserve on Tuesday.
This is just one of several roster moves made by the Jets on Tuesday including:
- Jets traded a 2021 sixth-round pick to the Patriots for WR Demaryius Thomas. (NFLTR)
- Jets signed K Sam Ficken. (NFLTR)
- Jets waived K Kaare Vedvik. (NFLTR)
Bryant, 23, wound up signing on with the Jets after going undrafted in the 2018 Supplemental draft. The Jets waived him coming out of the preseason and later signed on to their practice squad after clearing waivers.
Bryant was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and later reverted to the Jets’ injured reserve list.
Bryant has yet to appear in an NFL game.
During his college career at Mississippi State, Bryant recorded 157 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1.5 sacks, five interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, seven pass defenses and a forced fumble over three seasons and 37 games played.
