Jets Waive Former First-Round CB Dee Milliner From Injured Reserve

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Jets have waived CB Dee Milliner from injured reserve on Wednesday.

Milliner, 24, was taken with the No. 9 overall pick back in 2013. He’s entering the final year of his four-year, $12.66 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season.

The Jets declined to pick up his fifth-year option back in May that would haveย run the Jets $11.9 million in 2017. They later waived him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he reverted to their injured reserve list.

In 2015, Milliner appeared in five games for the Jets, but recorded just a single tackle and no interceptions.
