The New York Jets officially waived LB Edmond Robinson from their injured reserve on Tuesday.
Robinson, 25, is a former seventh-round pick by the Vikings out of Newberry in the 2015 NFL Draft. He was in the third-year of a four-year, $2.348 million rookie contract and set to earn a base salary of $615,000 this season when Minnesota decided to waive him.
The Jets claimed him off waivers from the Vikings the day after he was waived. New York wound up waiving him with an injury designation two weeks later and he reverted to their injured reserve.
In 2016, Robinson appeared in 12 games for the Vikings and recorded two tackles and no other statistics.
