Jets Will Allow Bart Scott To Seek Trade

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the Jets will allow LB Bart Scott to seek a trade during the offseason.

Scott still has three years remaining on his contract but he agreed to renegotiate his deal last year which guarantees him $4.2 million for the upcoming season. Scott has been relegated to playing only the first two-downs and in run situations so he’ll likely be looking for a change of scenery in the coming days.

Over the weekend we posted an article that mentioned that the cross-town rival Giants could be a landing spot for Scott if he becomes available.
