Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Jets brought in four players for tryouts on Monday including DT Sammie Lee Hill, DT Jordan Hill, DT Lawrence Virgil and OT Arturo Uzdavinis.
Hill, 29, is a former fourth-round pick of the Lions back in 2009. He spent four years in Detroit and played out his rookie contract before signing on with the Titans in 2013.
Hills severed a four-game suspension for an undisclosed violation earlier in the year.
Last year, Hill appeared in 10 games for the Titans and recorded 12 tackles and no sacks.ย Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 190 total snaps in 2015.
Jordan Hill, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2013. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.76 million contract and set to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season.
The Seahawks waived Hill with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to their injured reserve list. Seattle cut him loose la few weeks ago.
In 2015, Hill appeared in 10 games for the Seahawks and recorded 24 tackles, a fumble recovery and a pass defense.
