Josh Allen In Line To Start For Bills In Week 12

On Monday, Bills HC Sean McDermott told reporters that Josh Allen is in line to return for Week 12’s game and will be a full participant in today’s practice.

McDermott did, however, say that they’re “still taking it one day at a time.”

At the end of the day, Josh [Allen] is our starter, and we’re excited to have him back,” McDermott said, per Joe Buscaglia.

Matt Barkley had an impressive outing for the Bills a few weeks ago against the Jets, but it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to hear that they plan to move forward with Allen once he’s ready to go.

Allen, 22, was taken with the No. 7 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft by the Bills. Allen agreed to a four-year, $21,265,508 contract with the Bills that includes a $13,545,824 signing bonus.

The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Bills to pick up in 2021.

In 2018, Allen has appeared in six games for the Bills and completed 54 percent of his passes for 832 to go along with two touchdowns and five interceptions. He has also rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns.
