Kenny Golladay Open To Signing Extension With Lions Next Year

Lions WR Kenny Golladay says he feels comfortable in Detroit and is “most definitely” open to signing an extension with the team next year.

“Iโ€™ll let it take care of itself after the season,” Golladay said, via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. “I definitely feel like Iโ€™ve done my part.”

Golladay isn’t eligible to sign a new contract until next year, given that he’s currently in the third year of his rookie deal.

Golladay, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Lions back in 2017. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $3.19 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $750,000 for the 2020 season.

In 2019, Golladay has appeared in 12 games for the Lions and caught 47 passes for 950 yards receiving and nine touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 20 receiver out of 122 qualifying players.

Weโ€™ll have more regarding Golladay and the Lions as the news is available.
