Oklahoma QB Kyler Murray told Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that he is unsure if he will throw during the NFL Combine next week.
Murray, who was awarded the Davey O’Brien Award in a ceremony at Forth Worth on Monday, added that the last time he ran a 40-yard dash, he ran a 4.3. He says he’s faster now.
Murray released a statement last week committing to the NFL Draft instead of baseball, and he says his life has been more peaceful since that decision. He’s currently training with his father, Kevin, for the Combine and his pro day.
Murray, 21, started 14 games for Oklahoma last season. He completed 260 of 377 passes for 69.0 completion percentage with 4361 yards, 42 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He also ran 140 times for 1001 yards and 12 touchdowns.
