Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris confirmed that RB LeGarrette Blount will play in Week 9’s game against their division rival New Orleans Saints.
Blount sprained his MCL back in Week 5 but is believed to be close to 100 percent. Tampa lost their third-down RB Earnest Graham after he suffered a torn Achilles’ tendon a few weeks ago. Blount is already in position to reclaim the teams early downs but he seems to think that be in on third-down situations as well. The Buc’s don’t have a number of quality options so it would make sense that they would lean on their best player at the position but it’s also important to ensure that he can finish the season.
