Mike McCartney, the agent for free agent DL Jason Jones, tweets that the Lions have reached an agreement with his client.
Jones will receive a three-year contract from Detroit.
The Lions have shown a ton of interest in Jones in recent days and ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned that they were prepared to get a deal done and prevent him from meeting with other teams.
Jones, 26, is a very versatile lineman who’s capable of playing defensive end and tackle, so he’ll be an interesting piece for the Lions to use on their already strong defensive line.
